I’ve spent most of my life in the Columbia area, having grown up in Shandon. Having multiple siblings, I became very active at a young age and grew into an even more active lifestyle when I got involved in sports at school. Maybe it was the discipline and responsibility of being apart of a team that shaped me as a very punctual and dependable individual.
Being drawn to a sense of community and friendship, I pursued my bachelor’s degree at The Citadel, where I learned the meaning of integrity, trust, and what it means to rely on others. During his time at The Citadel, I spent my summers working for a termite and pest control company. Maybe it was the long days crawling under houses and completing every possible home repair and helping people in anyway I could that first sparked my interest in homes, homeowners, and the art of learning. So when an opportunity in real estate came knocking, I saw that my skill set fit the bill and was excited about a new learning opportunity.
I have devoted my values of integrity and ability to always be prepared to the home buying process and helping my clients. I feel it is so rewarding to make clients happy through making the buying process as smooth as possible and to be able to add value to the process. I strive to never allow anyone to have a bad experience when buying a home and to be a master of buying in a seller’s state.

We had a pretty complicated deal: We were selling FSBO, and he helped us make an offer contingent on the sale of our old house. He had a excellent command of the local market and prepared a extensive pricing analysis on the home we found, which enabled us to come to terms at about $80k off the original list price.

Drove a Hard Bargain
Let me tell you about my experience with The ART of Real Estate, specifically with Bryan Quinn…
What initially attracted me to The ART of Real Estate was the up-to-date website with a young, professional team. I wanted the expertise of a team that would cater to a young professional in Columbia.
I was connected with Bryan and right off the bat, he and I hit it off. I gave him some general parameters and he immediately went to work with a bunch of potential houses.
What I really have to commend Bryan on was when I actually did make an offer on a house. Because of personal circumstances and the demands of the builder/seller, I’m pretty sure we originally only had 30 days of negotiation and closing…which is incredible and unheard of. There were multiple times during the negotiation and closing process that Bryan had to “rescue” the deal. In the end, we closed on the deal roughly 45 days after making an offer with $8,000 in concessions we originally bargained for.
At closing, the builder congratulated both Bryan and I of “driving a hard bargain” and getting “one of the better deals of 2015 he had to offer.”
Very Patient & Talked Everything Through
I cannot thank Bryan enough for all his help. I work a crazy schedule, so it was so nice to know I could email Bryan no matter the time of day and he would respond if not immediately, then early in the morning. He was very patient and always willing to sit down and talk about what was going on and what the next step was. If he didn’t know an answer he made sure he found it and communicated it back. I greatly appreciated him setting up all the contractors appointments to repair the home before closing. I don’t know how he managed to make the impossible possible, but he did! I also want to thank anyone else in the agency who helped out that I was unable to meet.
Made the Process As Easy as it Could Be
I had the pleasure of working with Mary Lane Sloan and Bryan Quinn. They both made the process as easy as it could be for the buyer side even with dealing a terrible seller and ever worst sellers agent. Even though Mary Lane just had a newborn during this process she was still accessible and helped with dealing all the obstacles the seller threw our way. Bryan was also very professional and helpful and took over the full responsibility while Mary Lane was out. I applaud both of these agents and Brad Allen for having the patience and integrity for standing up for me as the buyer when the seller refused to complete repairs after already agreeing to them. This team helped guard me from what a true nightmare they were dealing with on the sellers side and took a lot of stress off me knowing they were handling everything in my best interest. I look forward to working with them again the next time I purchase a house, and will recommend them to al l other buyers I know! I also hope the sellers agent took a few notes on how to do her job after dealing with real professionals like Mary Lane Sloan and Bryan Quinn.
