[Spotlight] The Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli

The Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli is one of Downtown Columbia’s newest local establishments. Located within the Devine Street corridor, this new restaurant brings a new twist to your average deli: Cinnamon Rolls. As their name implies, cinnamon rolls are their specialty.

Initially, we thought that The Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli was primarily a breakfast spot that happened to feature lunch items. And while they do have a large menu available for breakfast (including breakfast sandwiches), they have a great selection available for brunch or lunch. We visited on a Thursday for lunch, and there were tons of folks out enjoying a meal with their friends, coworkers and families.

Inside, the spot has the feel of a modern loft, with plenty of exposed wood beams and tons of local art decorating the walls. All of the art that hangs on the walls are available for sale, and a portion of the proceeds goes to support the Animal Mission. At the front, a large glass case showcases the specialty cinnamon rolls. With specialty cinnamon roll flavors ranging from fruity to sweet n’ salty, you can be sure to find a decedent treat at this neighborhood shop.

In addition to cinnamon rolls, you can find a variety of sandwiches, soups, and (soon to be) salads. Everyone on our team tried something a bit different, from their broccoli cheddar soup to their grilled veggie sandwich to the NYC Pushcart Dogs. All of the entrees come with a side of house made parmesan chips and a warm mini cinnamon roll.

We highly recommend that you give The Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli a try when you have a chance! The food is delicious, the employees are wonderful and we’re sure that you’ll enjoy a great meal!
