ABOUT THE AREA
Fountain Inn, SC makes up part of the Golden Strip which also includes Mauldin and Simpsonville. Originally it served as a stagecoach town as people traveled from Columbia to Greenville. Today, Fountain Inn is one of the top moved to areas in the Upstate.
You might be wondering just how the name Fountain Inn came about. It was actually named based on a historic hotel that had a fountain out front that fed off of the local spring, hence the origins of the name.
