How We Support Agents Stepping Into Parenthood

The total number of babies born since our company was created is 24, wow! It's fantastic, not just because of the potential for second-generation ART agents. But as a company, we have been able to support our agents entering the incredible phase of life called parenthood. Here’s how we help prepare our teammates who are stepping into the parent role for the first time.

1) Preparation. Babies make their debut when they want, whether a few weeks early or late. As soon as our agents know they are expecting, we launch into planning. We have a Paternal Leave Plan, which lays out what they should be doing to set their business up for success while being able to be present for their family.

2) We team them up with agents, typically newer ones who can show, nurture and work deals as the soon-to-be parent gets closer to the due date.

3) Leadership starts to accompany the agent on their appointments a few weeks from the due date. This way, the clients feel comfortable leaning on our company while their chosen agent takes several weeks off.

4) Easing back into actively doing deals. Being pregnant is tough, but juggling being a parent and working is tougher.  We teach time blocking and best practices to help make that transition seamless. Efficiency is key!

Lastly, this isn't just for the parent giving birth; we use this plan for the supporting parents too.
