I was finally able to check off a major "real estate broker bucket list item". Ever since Mary Lane and I started our team back in 2007, we've had the desire to take our teammates on an international incentive trip. You know, like what the really big companies, who have billions of dollars, do. Now don't misinterpret that previous statement. We don't have billions, but we really focused on making that dream become a reality a few years back and in 2022 we made it happen. 

So where did we go?

How nice of you to ask. We went to Moon Palace Cancun Resort. I've been going to Palace Resorts for the past 14 years and heck, My wife and I got married at one in 2009. The Palace Resorts are fantastic for many reasons: They are all inclusive and have plenty of dining options, as well as multiple pools and incredible spas. There are lots of excursions to choose from like golf, sailing, and putt putt to name a few. As a bonus, the amenities tend to be large enough so that you don't have to see your teammates if you don't want to :)

Who went?

We took 26 people: 10 of our top producing real estate agents, 3 staff members and their spouses/significant others or friends. 

Why?

I would rephrase that and ask "why not?". If you're reading this, you are either a real estate consumer or producer. Now, I don't want to make it sound like we have the hardest job in the world because we don't. But our profession is not the easiest; It involves late nights and early mornings, sometimes for weeks on end, missing important family events and quality time with those we love the most. So it was important for us, Mary Lane and myself, to make sure we took our teammates to a place that the only option they had was to RELAX. 

As you are aware, just about everything we do is different and not typical of real estate agents. And we wanted the way we showed our appreciation to be no different. 

Where To Next?

God willing, we will be doing this again next year somewhere tropical without any COVID restrictions. We hope to make this an annual tradition, and bring along every one of our agents and staff members who play a role in our growth and mission.
