Litton's Market Restaurant and Bakery
At Litton's Market, Restaurant and Bakery it's all in the name. It's a place where you can get it all. Known as Knoxville's favorite hometown bakery for over 25 years, they offer southern homemade goodness. It's family-owned, spanning four generations. Litton’s bakery prepares a weekly average of 6,000 fresh baked hamburger buns, 85-100 cakes and the many other favorite desserts that East Tennesseans have grown to love.
It started in 1946 by Eldridge Litton, originally in the small north Knoxville community of Inskip. Litton's Market became known for offering a wide range of groceries, produce, hardware, feed, and a full service gas station, aspects which you still find today. The bakery didn't open until 1983, under the direction of self-taught baker Lynda Jones. She's since expanded her fresh baked goods to include a variety of homemade crust-less cheesecakes, pies and cookies averaging 5” in size. Litton’s Red Velvet Cake is famous throughout the Southeast as well as many of Lynda’s other award winning desserts. Plus, Litton's continues to offer the highest quality beef, seafood, and ingredients available. Be sure to check it out! You won't be disappointed.
