ABOUT THE AREA

Established in 1859, Powdersville dates all the way back to the Civil War. The area actually got its name from being the location where gunpowder was made and ammunition was stored. Powdersville has a small hometown feel that is split between two counties and it continues to expand.

One place in the area that has become quite well known is their YMCA. The Powdersville YMCA was established in 2016 and it offers a little something for the entire family. You'll find a waterpark, state of the art workout facilities, basketball courts, and more. 

The area has quite a few places for food and places to grab a drink. You can grab a Birddog over at Nick Henry's, which is like a hotdog only with chicken and other toppings. Right in the heart of Powdersville is the restaurant Brioso, where you'll find some amazing Italian food. If you're looking to grab a beer, 10 minutes away from Powdersville is the Thomas Creek Brewery. Lastly we can't forget dessert, so make sure to try the Kolache Factory for a sweet treat! 

When it comes to housing in Powdersville, the market is always good! The reason for this is because it is a suburb of Downtown Greenville and you can get more land for a better price. The area has several up and coming neighborhoods  because of this. Several of them also come with great amenities such as pools, walking trails and parks.
